- Lawrence P. Schaefer of Wilmette died Aug. 15 in the Old Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Skokie. He was 82. Mr. Schaefer, who was born in Wilmette, was the owner of Wilmette Tailors & Cleaners, 819 Ridge Rd., Wilmette, for 40 years. He survived by two sons Peter L. of Wilmette and Donald A. of Englewood, N.J. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
