- Ferne Parrott Swan died Oct. 15 at Normandy House, Wilmette, at the age of 87. Her late husband, Charles, was president and owner of Zacher Engraving Co., Chicago. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nancy (M. W. Jr.) Harms; a son, Charles Jerome (Lois) Swan; five grandchildren, Mark and John Harms, Susan Harms Strong, and Geoffrey and Karen Swan; one great-grand-child, Curtis Harms; a sister, Helen Rearick; and a brother, Marshall Parrott.
