- Bruce W. Thayer, 94, died March 29 at the Presbyterian Home. Mr. Thayer was a native of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Harrison Thayer, who died in 1979. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce William and Nancy Thayer of Barrington; three grandchildren: Elizabeth Thayer Clough, Robert Bruce Thayer and Emily Marian Thayer; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Marian Virginia Thayer of Wilmette.
