Eberhard Lechler, 80, 230 Maple avenue, Wilmette, passed away last Saturday afternoon, at his home. Funeral services we held on Tuesday afternoon at the Scott Funeral chapel, Wilmette. He is survived by his widow, Clara, and by a son, Fred. Born in Wurttemberg, Germany, he came to this country as a young man, and was for many years an importer of precious and semi-precious stones. He was a former member of the Chicago Association of Commerce and of the National Chamber of Commerce. He was also noted as a talented violinist.
