Services were held Wednesday at St. Elisabeth's Episcopal church in Glencoe for G. Lyle Fischer, 50, of 455 Washington avenue, Glencoe. Mr. Fischer, second vice-president of the Northern Trust company, died suddenly at his home on Monday, June 21. Burial was at Princeton, Ill.

Born in Kewanee, Ill. on August 23, 1897, Mr. Fischer was graduated from Harvard in 1920. Before joining the Northern Trust company in October, 1932, he served as assistant cashier in the Savings Bank of Kewanee and as assistant vice-president in the Central Republic Savings and Trust company in Chicago.

He served as a vestryman of St. Elisabeth's church for several years, as a member of the Glencoe Cancer Plan committee, and as a trustee of Chase House. He also was a member of the University Club of Chicago, Harvard Club of Chicago, and the Economic club.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anne Clark, and two sons, John Lyle and Thomas Clark Fischer.
