Mrs. Mildred Ballou Thompson, 442 Woodlawn avenue, Glencoe, died suddenly Monday, June 21, at the Girl Scout office in Christ church parish house, Winnetka. Since 1942, Mrs. Thompson had served as executive director of the Girl Scout organization in Winnetka.

Born in New York March 20, 1892, Mrs. Thompson served overseas in World War I with the Y.M.C.A. organization. She was graduated from Columbia university's teacher's college and was a member of the Woman's Library club of Glencoe and of the Glencoe Union church.

Services were held Wednesday at the Glencoe Union church with the Rev. Robert L. Stubbs and Dr. E. Ashley Gerhard officiating. Burial was at Oakridge cemetery.

Surviving Mrs. Thompson are her husband, Glenn; one daughter, Miss Patricia Thompson; two sisters, Mrs. Cilista Idell Quick of Lexington, Mass., and Mrs. Marion Ballou Rush of Bronxville, N.Y.; and one brother, H. Cushman Ballou.
