Iliff, John W. (Died)

John W. Iliff, 1115 Greenwood avenue, passed away Thursday, February 21, after a long illness. He was 73 years old. Funeral services were held las Saturday at Scott's funeral home and burial was at Memrorial Park cemetery. Surviving Mr. Iliff are his wisdow, Mrs. Etta J. Iliff of Wilmette, a daughter, Mrs. Donald J. Hoskins of Columbus, Ohio, and two sons George F. Iliff of Wilmette and William H. of Los Angeles. There are also six grandchildren. Mr. Iliff had been a resident of Wilmette form more that twenty-five years and had been in the publishing business in Chicago for nearly fifty years. He was born in Cincinnati but came here immediately after the Chicago fire. At one time, Mr. Iliff was a trustee of the Wilmette Free Public library, president of the old Wilmette Men's club, and president of the board of trustees of the First Congregational church.
