John W. Albright died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles R. Sutherland, 305 Poplar street, Winnetka on Monday.
Mr. Albright was born in Fort Madison, Ia. February 12, 1843 and celebrated his 96th birthday anniversary.
He had been in the employ of Marshall Fiald and company two years prior to the great Chicago fire of 1871. As a lad of 15 he was at Free Port with his father at the Lincoln-Douglas debate in 1858. He was a merchant at Cedar Rapids, Ia., from 1873 to 1921. He had lived with his daughter in Winnetka for the past five years.
