Funeral services for E. John Hicks, 241 Melrose avenue, Kenilworth, were held on Tuesday at the chapel at Graceland cemetery. Mr. Hicks, president of the Merchants Steel and Supply company, died on Saturday at the Henrotin hospital in Chicago, after an illness of six months. He was 57 yearsof age and had been a resident of the community for about 25 years. His widow; three sons, Hunter, Thomas, and John, Jr.; and two sisters and a brother survive. He was a member of the Skokie Country, the Bob o' Links and Chicago Athletic clubs, and was a former member of the Kenilworth club.
