Services were held Tuesday at Scott's Wilmette chapel for Emil (Jack) Nord, 65, of 2435 Birchwood lane, Wilmette. The Rev. J. Rodger McColl officiated at the services and burial was at Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Nord died at his home on Sunday, May 9.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Mr. Nord was a pioneer Wilmette business man. He was owner of a dry cleaning and tailoring establishment in the village for 37 yeas.

Mr. Nord was active in village affairs. Some of the offices he held included president of the Wilmette Rotary club, 1938-1939; president of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce 1927-1928 and 1940-1948. He was also a former president of the Wilmette Health center board and a member of the Masonic lodge.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Nord; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Meinshausen of Des Plaines; one son, Robert Nord of Blue Island; four grandchildren; his parents, Augusta and Emil Nord of Stockholm; four sisters, Elsa, Ruth, and Anna of Sweden, and Elizabeth of Chicago; and three brothers, Nels of Sweden, David of Wilmette and Ernest Nord of Evanston.
