The church school will meet at 10:00 o'clock and classes will be promoted, and an op- portunity given to the students and teachers to become acquainted. Every member of the school should be on hand for enrollment. At the morning service at 11 o'clock, diplomas and certificates of promotion will be awarded to the students of the Church school. Teachers and officers of the church school will be installed by the minister and the deacons^ of the church. In his sermon, Mr, Lloyd will address himself to the Church school on the subject "Anticipations." The first meeting of the North End circle for this season will be held on Monday, September 24, at the home of Miss Ida Nourse, 1137 Greenwood ave- nue. Miss Nourse will be assisted by Mrs. W. A. Mann and, Mrs. J. W. Iliff. The Boy Scouts are getting into their stride for the year's work and will meet 1 for drill and instruction on Tuesday eve- ning at Roosevelt headquarters. On Wednesday evening, September 26, the men and boys of the church are in- vited to a dinner at 6:30, to be served in the parlors of the church. There will be a short program, and the affairs for the coming year will be discussed. The Cozy Corner circle will serve the dinner and the program will be in charge of Mr. Frank Wilson. t , Thursday, September 27\ the Neighbor- hood circle will conduct a Rummage Sale in the Boulevard building on Central avenue Contributions of out-grown clothing and dis-used household equip- ment will be greatly appreciated. Classes for'die Christian educarion^of Children have now begun at St. Johns. The initial enrollment was 35 but it is expected that at least 25 children_ will still enter. There is no tuition charge for these classes, all children that come receiving this teaching freely. The junior class for children from 8 to 11 is taught by Miss Clara Mueller, while the pastor has charge of the Senior and Confirma- tion class. These classes meet every Monday and Friday at 4. v The Sunday school teachers and offi- cers meet at the church on Monday eve- ning, September 24, at 8 o'clock. Papers are to be delivered by several of the teachers on matters relating to the prac- tical teaching of the Sunday school les- sons.
