FRIDAY, TUNE 15, WU CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH rich] BIG PICNIC si Tomorrow, Saturday, June 16,- the ^Church school and congregation will have their Annual Picnic and Beach Oarty on the beach at the foot of Wash- ington avenue, from three o'clock • until twilight. There will be games, sporj^athletic and aquatic events, participated m by young and old. Interest particularly centers in the base ball games between "son and dads" and "daughters and mothers." . It is to be a basket picnic. Every- body bring their own lunch, plate, cup, fork and spoon. Hot coffee will be pro- vided to all who desire it, and ice cream cones will be served to the children. Boy Scouts are planning a bonfire after supper and a "community sing" will be lead by Mrs. McElroy, accompanied by Mrs. Cyon on the baby organ. Mr. Meyer, pastor of St. John's will attend the con- vention as the representative of the Bureau of Lectures and Information on Missions, it being the aim to consoli- date all informative work, and all pub- licity activities under one head. On Saturday afternoon, June 30, the annual Sunday school picnic of St. John's Lutheran church takes place at the Glen- view Forest Preserve. The date was changed from June 13 to the 30th be- cause it was found more convenient on the latter datew Every effort is to be made to get all the members out for a good cheery old time basket picnic.
