AUGUSTINE'S PARISH Dr. Carleton was absent from St. Augustine's last Sunday preaching at Christ church, Oak Park. The services at St. Augustine's were taken by Rev. L. H. Danforth. A meeting of the Boy Scout Executive committee, comprised of Mr. C. R. Hope, "â- "MrTHrj. Leach, Mr. G. M. Hubbard, Dr. C. H. Eldred, Rev. L. H. Danforth and Rev. Carleton, was held last night at the Parish House, attended by the new Scout Master, Mr. Clarke Leach, to plan activties for the coming sea- son both for the Pioneer Cadets and the Boy Scouts. Tonight, Friday, there will be given in the Club House at-St. Augustine's, a talk on Birds by Miss Weinland, illus- trated with beautiful slides. This talk is in connection with the Bird classes be- ing carried on by the Boy Scouts and Pioneer Cadets. The crowds of children at the "Chil- Tlrerfs. Movies" yesterday saw Bible pic- tures of "Daniel in the Lion's Den, "Anania and Sapphira" and "The Good Samaritan." The pictures were paid for by the children of St. Augustine's Church school. The showings at the "Children's Mov- ies" next week, Thursday, March 22, will be paid for by the, Logan School Par- ent Teachers' association. The children will be shown a beautiful picture in three reels of the "Passion Play" and one reel picture of Tolstoi's well known story "God Is Love." Dr. Carleton preached one of a special course of sermons on Wednesday evening of this week at Trinity church, Chicago. more interesting items of the last quar- terly report will also be read to the congregation. The choir will meet on Friday evening and the class on Saturday at the regular hour. The subject for the Mid-week Lenten service next Wednesday evening wiH be: "With Jesus approaching the Holy City.
