Is it pos- _3ible to discover some program offer- ing greater assurances for success in the efforts for world betterment? Dr. lagill will discuss this question in Inext Sunday's sermon. The Federal Council of the Churches lof Christ in America has issued a :all to all Christians to observe the reek of January 7-13 as a week of thanksgiving and prayer. i We are expecting to comply with that request and have arranged for special services each evening, except -Saturday, of the coming-week. BAPTIST CHURCH On Sunday morning, January 7, Mr. Stifler will give the first of his series of January sermons on the theme "Personal Religion." The four phases of personal religion which will be dis- cussed are the following: January 7, "An Awareness of God;" January 14, "A Respect for Men;" January 21, "A Passion for Righteousness;" January 28, "A Sense of Missions." The re- cently organized Choral Society of the church, under the direction of Mr. Edward J. Munson, will begin this Sunday, having regular charge of the Sunday morning music. The ordinance of the Lord's Supper and the reception of new members will take place at the morning wor- ship on January 7. The Bible School meets at 9:45 with graded instruction for all ages. Dr. Julius Rohrbach is the teacher of the Bible Study Forum, and at the meeting of the Fellowship Class a review" with lantern slides will be con- ducted by the Pastor. These two adult classes meet at ten o'clock. At three o'clock^ in the alternojom the Intermediate Young People's so- ciety, under the direction of Miss Marion Allison, and the Junior Young People's society, under the direction of Miss Mabelle Rennacker, will hold their regular weekly meetings.
