Installation ceremonies were con- ducted at the Wilmette Woman's club, temporary church headquarters, by Dr. Whitaker, president of the Chicago Lutheran Seminary and head of the United Lutheran Church- es of America. Dr. Whitaker also -preached 4he~ installation sermon. â€"Rev.â€"Soholm came to Wilmette early last winter at the call of lead- ing Chicago and Wilmette church people interested in-establishing a church unit in the local field. Com- ing from Superior, Wis., where he had concluded with notable success a similar task of organization, Rev. Soholm conducted a thorough sur- vey and canvass of. the local field with the result that early this spring a charter membership was closed with 39 members on the roll. Within a few weeks after his ar- rival, Rev Soholm found sufficient 112 hours. interest in the village to begin J church services at the Wilmette' Woman's club. Since that time a flourishing Sunday school has been established and a Woman's society organized and placed on an efficient basis. • The church was formally or- ganized about six weeks ago and is well on the way to permanent suc- cess under the direction of a church Council and expert church officers.
