The pro- gram for the occasion promises to be one of the most interesting offered this year, for there are to be several excellent speakers, each presenting a new and interesting subject. Mrs. B. Frank Brown, until recently one of our own members, and formerly chairman of the Reform department of the Chicago Woman's club, will speak on "Cook County Problems"; then Mrs. E. S. Bailey, first vice-president of the State Federation, who is to be guest of honor on this day, will give a short talk on the Federation and the Federation paper. Mrs. Irving Clock of Ravenswood will speak on "Sarah Hackett Stevenson Memorial Lodging House", and Mrs. John W. Meaker, Jr., of Evanston, will speak on the "Social Standard for Our People." Reports from the Illinois Woman's Legislative Congress will be read by Mrs. Morton L. Paterson, Mrs. Donald M. Gallie and Mrs. J. Glen Wray; reports from the Tenth District Federation meeting: will be given by Mrs. F. D. Day and Mrs. Charles L. Moody; Local Charities, Mrs. Lillian D. Northam ; Gross Point Health Centre. Mrs. Hope Thompson; Red Cross seals, Mrs. Charles Harrison Smith : Cook County League of Clubs, Mrs. J. C. Mannerud, or Mrs. Shelby Singleton. There will also be a report from the movie committee, Mrs. J. G. Wray, Mrs. Karl King and Mrs. Charles Wells, who were appointed at the last meeting to look into the "movie" question. Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Michelson, of Chicago, announce the en- gagement of their daughter, Miss Madeleine Michelson, to Mr. Philip Brooks Maher, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Maher of Warwick road, Kenilworth. Miss Michelson has been at school at Farmington and was to have been one of next season's debutantes. The Parent-Teacher association of the Wilmette Public schools will hold a joint meeting on Tuesday after- noon, February 1, at 3 o'clock, at the Central school gymnasium: Dr. Hubert Carleton, rector of St. Au- gustine's church, will speak oh "The Moving Pictures." This interesting subject is a vital point with the mothers ixt this time and a large audience is desired.
