This is my Grandpa who I loved but did not live near. So thank you for capturing these moments.

How marvelose to find My Father George A. Hahn Sr. in this oral History. I haven't listened to the tapes yet but I am looking forward to the occasion when next in the Chicago Area.

I also remember Daddy Hood the Civil war veteran who lived next door at the Miller residence. I remember that the Chicago Paper Came out and took a picture of two OF US BOBBY MILLER AND MYSELF . listening to him tell the stories of his experience in the War and as a prisoner. It was a Full Page Picture.I THINK IT WAS IN THE HEARST PAPER AND ABOUT 1938 OR 1939.

I found my fathers comments on Living in an apartment compared to living in a nice suburban House. Living in a neighbor hood you got to know people where in an apartment people go in and close the door.

My Dad started to find out where his Family came from in the old country. I started to help him and 25 Years later I was able to trace the Hahn back to Nohn ,Germany A small farming community in Saarland Near Merzig. The history is there back to 1640.
