Prof. Leonard S. Fosdick, 65, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Wilmette, died Jan. 31 in Arizona. Prof. Fosdick had been living in Tucson since 1963 on leave of absence from Northwestern University Dental School where he was professor of chemistry. He was a graduate of Southern College in Lakeland, Fla., and received his master's and Ph.D degrees from Northwestern. e joined that school's faculty in 1929. He served as president of the Chicago chapter of Sigma Xi honorary fraternity. He was an honorary member of the Chicago Dental Society. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth C.; two daughters, Mrs, Margaret E. Young of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Elizabeth Carter of Anderson, Ind.; a son, Dr. William M. of Tucson; and nine grandchildren. Memorial services were held Tuesday in Tucson.
