Raymond R. Fearheiley, 64, of Whitewater, Wis., former teacher and coach, died Jan. 1 while visiting his family in Collinsville, Ill. Mr. Fearheiley taught technical arts and coached varsity golf at New Trier West High School. A native of Mt. Carmel, Ill., he earned a bachelor's degree at Bradley University and a master's at Colorado State College. He taught at New Trier for 24 years and retired in 1967. Mr. Fearheiley served 15 years on the Illinois High School Athletic Association's golf advisory board and was a Boy Scout leader in Wilmette. His wife, Frances Peterson Fearheiley, also retired in 1967 as principal of Harper School in Wilmette. The family previously lived in Evanston. Besides his wife, Mr. Fearheiley is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Mary Frances) Lane of Collinsville; three brothers, four sisters, and three grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held Jan. 4 in Orion, Ill.
