Percy A. Ray, 57, of 1115 [unclear] Lake avenue, Wilmette, died of a heart attack Sunday while playing golf at he Wilmette Golf Course.

He was vice president and chief engineer of the United Cities Gas Company. A native of Otley, S.D., he had lived in Wilmette for 2 years.

Survivors are his widow, Helen M.; two daughters, Julie Ann and Mary; a son, William A.; and three brothers, Henry Burton Ray of Annapolis, Md., Jerry of Little Falls, Minn. and Robert of Sokane, Wash.

Services were conducted Tuesday in Willam H. Scott Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph A. Howell of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church. Burial was in Faribault, Minn.
