Mr. and Mrs. William Deering, who have spent the winter at their southern home in Cocoanut Grove, Fla., returned to Evanston Sunday on their private car. The train carrying the Deering coach was twelve hours late in arriving, the car not being sidetracked at the Emerson street switch until after 10 o'clock. Mr. Frank P. Crandon met the Deerings in Chicago and came to Evanston with them.

Mr. Deering, who has been more or less feeble since his illness last summer, is not fully recovered. When he started north he was feeling far from well and the trip did not increase his strength. Though his condition is not considered serious, his friends claim he is in need of rest.
