Memorial services for John R. Latchaw, 69, a director and senior vice-president of the Glenview State Bank, will be held at 8 tonight in Glenview Community Church. Mr. Latchaw, 9511 Springfield street, Skokie, died last Thursday while on a fishing trip in Canada. He also was vice-president and a director of Cummins Chicago Corporation, Chicago. Before joining the Glenview bank five years ago, Mr. Latchaw was executive vice-president of American Security Corporation, a finance company with headquarters in Marion, Indiana. During World War I, he was a first lieutenant in the Army and was awarded the Silver Star. He also was a former vice-president and director of the Glenview Council of the Navy League of the United States. The banker was a member of the Glenview Area United Fund, Glenview Chamber of Commerce, Glenview Lions Club, and Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette. Mr. Latchaw is survived by his widow, Louwane [unclear]; four daughters, Mrs. Edward B. Collier of Skokie, Mrs. William Pickering of Marion, Indiana, Mrs. William McCarthy of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Mrs. William Brenner of Deerfield; a son, John Jr. of Evanston; nine grandchildren; a brother, Charles of Defiance, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Mae Warne of San Diego, California. Services and burian were in Marion, Indiana.
