Alan Glenn Klopfenstein, 70, died March 12, 2012, at the Hospice facility in Skokie, IL. Born February 24, 1942 in Waterbury, Connecticut, he was a son of Jasmine V. (Carter) and Glenn A. Klopfenstein. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, MaryAnn (Stanaitis) Klopfenstein; daughters, Debra V. Klopfenstein of Philadelphia, PA, and Deanna K. Segil and her husband Robert of Evanston, IL, who were his caregivers for the past two years. He is also survived by his 100 year old mother, Jasmine V. Bernarda of Durham, NC; brother, Rex Klopfenstein and his wife Linda, of Fairfax, Virginia; sister Cathy Klopfenstein, of Durham, NC, and mother-in-law, Agnes Stanaitis, of Mooresville, NC.
