Alverna (Garon) Laverdiere, the mother of Dr. Julie Laverdiere (James) Beck and the grandmother of Matthew and Madeleine Beck passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She was born January 18, 1929 in Lake Linden, Michigan to Edward and Florence (Rastello) Garon. She was the wife of the late Reuben John Laverdiere. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and one infant granddaughter. Vern is survived by five sons and two daughters. There are thirteen surviving grandchildren;one brother,and one sister.
