Members of the New Trier Democratsmet Sunday at the Winnetka Cocmmunity House to hear candidates for major federal, state and county races, discuss their merits and vote endorsements for the March 20th Democratic Primary Election. The group endorsed Mary Jane Theis for Illinois Supreme Court and Jan Schakowskiy for 9th District U.S. Congress. Also endorsed were Ilya Sheyman for 10th District U.S. Congress and Julie MOrrison for 29th State Senate District. Endorsements for three positions on the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District went to Debra Shore, Kari Steele and Patrick Daley Thompson. Others endosed were Barack Obama for U.S. President, Daniel Biss for 9th State Senate District, Laura Fine for 17th State Legislative District, Robyn Gable for 18th State Legislative District, and Scott Drury for 58th State and Legislative District. Also Anita Alvarez for Cook County States Attorney, Karen Yarborough for Cook County Recorder of Deeds, Casey Thomas Griffin for Cook County 1st District Board of Review Commissioner and Michael Carbonargi for Cook County 2nd District Board of Review Commissioner.
