Pasek, Ralph Frederick Of Evanston, age 88, died on Saturday, January 7, 2012. "Bud", as he was fondly known to family and friends, was a former resident of Winnetka for 40 years. Born in Chicago on January 27, 1923, he graduated from Lindblom High School in 1939 and attended the University of Chicago. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, in 1949 after serving in the United States Army with the Engineer Combat Battalion. He was a production and sales executive in the printing and envelope manufacturing industries in Minneapolis and Chicago for 60 years. Bud is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Joanna, loving children, Laura (Kevin) McCaughey of Medford, MA, and Glenn (Jennifer) Pasek of Evanston, grandchildren, Samantha and Oliver Pasek, and step-grandchildren, Kip, Peter, Caroline and Virginia McCaughey. His enthusiasm for books, history, music and sports lives on; his company will be greatly missed. A small, private memorial service will be held.
