Sharkey, William H. "Chip" Age 63, passed away suddenly after a short illness. He will be missed by his beloved family; wife Patricia, nee O'Donnell; children Bethany, Luke and Elise; sister Susan (Tom) Hoffman; aunt Charlene Heard. Chip was retired from a 30 year career as an actuary and insurance executive with Cigna and CNA. He was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College. As a 17 year resident of Glencoe, Illinois, Chip was active in Glencoe Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting. He loved golf and the outdoors and was an active member at Skokie Country Club. The family truly appreciates the ongoing support from the Glencoe Community. The family's memory of Chip will live in their hearts forever. Services were held Saturday, January 21st, 11am at Glencoe Union Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to "The Northeast Illinois Council BSA" sent to Boy Scouts of America NEIC (2745 Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park, IL 60035) or Kellogg Cancer Center (North Shore University Health System Foundation, 1033 University Place, Suite 450, Evanston, IL 60201) would be greatly appreciated. Please note "In Memory of Chip Sharkey".
