Moody, Elizabeth "Betty" Longtime resident of Northbrook and retired District 28 school teacher, passed away peacefully January 12, 2012. Devoted mother of Diane (Bruce Holm) Moody, Carolyn Moody Dixon and Gail Moody. Cherished grandmother of Bruce Holm Jr. Beloved sister of Mary Lou (Ray) Oswalt, Billie Bremer and the late Ellie Kruse. Dear niece of Dr. Hellen Beiser. Fond aunt of Dale, Lora, Brianne, Amy, Justin, and Kyle and the late Bill. Betty loved working with children and volunteering. She was a devoted and active member of Grace Lutheran Church, and proudly served as a docent of Northbrook Historical Society for many years. She was a dedicated participant of the Pulmonary Rehab Program at Lake Forest Hospital for the past 11 years. and enjoyed serving as a cheerleader for her fellow participants. Family will receive friends Saturday, January 28 from 1 p.m. until time of a celebration of Betty's life 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church 2245 Walters Ave. Northbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland Rd. Lake Forest, IL 60045. Attn Dept. of Philanthropy. Arrangements by N.H.
