Dubbs, Rita K. Age 93, of Glenview formerly of Northfield. Beloved wife of the late John W. Dubbs, Jr. who preceded her in death on April 7, 2007; loving mother of Judith C. (John K.) Hotze, John W. Dubbs, III (Catherine K. Sugino) and Barbara M. Dubbs; dear sister of Lorraine K. (the late George S.) Hilton and the late Andrew L. (Blanch) Kaye, also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rita completed her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, and in 1944 she received her Law Degree from the Northwestern University School of Law. Rita went on to become the first woman in the State of Illinois to serve as a Title Officer at Chicago Title and Trust Co. and was listed in Who's Who of American Women starting in 1961. An accomplished classical and modern pianist, Rita was the conductor of an all girls orchestra while in college. Rita spoke French, Greek and Latin, was a volunteer at Regina Dominican High School, and was an avid Bridge player.
