Baptist women of Wilmette enjoyed a delightful afternoon at the home of Mrs. Alpheus E. White, 1---[illegible] Greenwood avenue, Friday, February 21. They were entertained by mrs. O. W. Schmidt, who sang several selections and by Miss Jeanette Tuthill, who read Dickens' "A Child's dream of a star."
Although the afternoon was very stormy, the number interested in the Baptist movement was well represented and it was decided by unanimous vote to organize a Woman's Aid society. The first meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. John D. Grieg, 522 Oakwood avenue, March 5. All interested in this organization are most cordially invited.
As previously announced, services will be started early April, and will be conducted by Rev. E. L. [illegible] Anderson, superintendent of the Chicaho Baptist Executive Council. The devotional meeting, March 5, will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bowen, 1215 Elmwood avenue. These meetings are growing in numbers and interest. Plan to attend.
