The City Council of Winnetka met Tues. night. A petition signed by Hubbard Woods residents was presented by a produce store proprietor on Gage street to open a pool room. It will be considered at the next meeting. Claus Anderson was granted a settlement for an injury he received while working for the village. Trustee Whitman brought up the subject of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Co. running trains thorugh Winnetka at night. Trustee Rummler and Mr. Elting will take the matter up with the railroad company and arrange to have a flagman stationed at each crossing at night. An ordinance to pave Lincoln Ave. was passed.
