Watt, Robert J. 86, passed away September 21, 2011. Adoring husband of Betty L.; devoted father of Robert A. (Ann), Bradley (Joanne) and Beverly (Mark) Gion; loving grandfather of Melinda (Dennis Jr.) Young, Abigail Watt, Katherine (Marty) Shaw, Andrew and Dana Watt, Christine, Stephan, Leslie and Paul Gion and great-grandfather of Isis and Kateri Shaw and Robert W. and Dennis, III Young; dear uncle, brother-in-law, and respected friend and mentor to many. Mr. Watt was a captain in the US Marine Corps and a graduate of the University of Illinois. Known as "Mr. Glenbrook", he devoted 31 years to Glenbrook HS District 225 in positions including teacher, coach, counselor, and dean of students. Mr. Watt was instrumental in the development of the Glenbrook Evening High School and served as its first principal. Mr. Watt was proud to have led the Glenbrook North baseball Spartans to their first state championship in 1966. Services Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
