On Feb. 12 at about 4 p. m. a fire was discovered in the new parsonage of the Episcopal church on South avenue, Glencoe. The flames were seen by the pastor's little son, Atley, who informed J. W. Belter and his brother, Fred, the glaziers putting in the glass for the Sprague Smith company oof Chicago. A bucket brigade was immediately started by them and after considerable trouble they managed to put out the fire, saving the structure. They received the thanks of the pastor and others.
