Regular schedules for refuse, recycling and yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day this week because of the Labor Day holiday, Wilmette village officials reminded residents last week.
Veolia Environmental Services will not service Monday routes until Tuesday, Sept. 6, and the schedules for each subsequent day will also be delayed. The holiday cycle will end with Friday routes being serviced on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Yard waste, which is normally collected on Wednesdays for the entire village, will be collected on Thursday, Sept. 8.
Collection services will return to their normal schedules the following week, officials said.
