Wilmette police have arrested and charged a Chicago man with trying to sell cocaine last weekend, following a department sting operation.
Officers arrested Michael T. Schoenwald, 42, of 225 S. Sangamon St. in Chicago, shortly after noon on Aug. 20, when he tried to sell 1.25 grams of cocaine to an individual on the 100 block of Green Bay Road, Wilmette Police Chief Brian King said in a Monday news release.
King said the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation.
Schoenwald faces one charge of possession with the intent to deliver. He was held pending a Monday bond hearing, and his next court date was Aug. 24 in the Skokie branch of Cook County Circuit Court.
