Student videos screened

Two student videos from New Trier’s Video Art class were screened at the seventh annual Cineyouth Film Festival from May 5-7, honoring filmmakers under the age of 20 in concert with the Chicago International Film Festival. Senior Adam Eisenstein’s “Oswald” was nominated for Best Experimental Film. Juniors Margot Young and Erin Smith collaborated on “Time,” which was also screened.

New Trier Video Art students also screened films at The Chicagoland High School Film Festival, held at the Latin School of Chicago’s Wrigley Theatre May 20. Senior Max Perkins’ film “Seeking” won Best Cinematography, and juniors Margot Young and Erin Smith won Best Experimental Film for “Time.”

Trip to France

Join New Trier French students for a 10-day home stay in the heart of Paris followed by four days in the south of France on the Riviera, from June 8-23, 2012. Students can also welcome a French pen pal in their homes in February. Details to follow early this fall.
