The Glencoe Board of Trustees passed an ordinance Tues. evening providing for 6 miles of paving. Trustee Kemp opposed the ordinance. Before the final vote, Colonel Jacobs, a former member of the board, and a large property owner in Glencoe, urged adoption of the ordinance. Board president, Arthur G. Saler also spoke in favor of the ordinance. Property owners on those streets will be assessed. Brick and concrete will be used and drains will be installed. Attorney Fred D. Jackson, property owner on one of the affected streets, protested against the assessments. The village attorney, Albert O. Olsen, addressed Jackson's comments.
