Dedicated bricks

The Centennial Fund Committee has scheduled a spring brick installation that will take place in June. Those who would like to purchase an engravable brick to be included in this upcoming order, or if they have any questions about this process, contact Jackie Petrozzi at petrozzi@rocketmail.com. Brochures also are available in the school office. The deadline for spring orders is May 8.

Track team meet

The SFX track team will participate in a meet at Loyola High School at 4 p.m. on Monday in Wilmette. Any fifth-eighth grade students interested in joining the SFX Track Team should contact Paul Tyska at ptyska@csi360.com.

Practices are held on Mondays and Fridays, and it is not mandatory to attend all practices.

Eighth grade play

The SFX eighth grade students are working hard to produce “Disney’s High School Musical Jr.” Performances will be at 7 p.m. today (May 5) and tomorrow (May 6) in the SFX school gym.

Poofin sales

Lad and Lassie in Wilmette has begun to sell a new product called “Poofin” which can be purchased with an SFX school charm inside of it. Poofin is a pillow-like, star-shaped toy with a hollow pocket inside for holding soft, stuffed charms featuring images of things that are popular with kids. Lad and Lassie will donate $1 from the sale of each SFX charm back to St. Francis. To learn more about this new children’s product being launched by SFX parishioner Ann Bowar, stop by Lad and Lassie or visit them at poofin.com.

Special dates

The Academic and Art Fair will be held Wednesday; the annual May Crowning and Mass will be held on May 13.
