- Thirty members of Loyola Academy's choir spent spring break on a concert tour of Italy. This year's Spring Musical was Jason Robert Brown's "13" on March 10-13. At this year's Environmental Student Congress at Amundsen High School in February, Loyola received an award from Friends of the Chicago River for participating in the Adopt a River Program. Attendees included Lara Antonello, Chris Lee, Mariana Weisgal, Tracy Mitchell, Julie Nold, Jennifer Snyder.

Former star thespian Mikey Beddome returned to the school to talk to the Film Studies class of John Rank and the cinematography class of Faye A. Ryan about his experience at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Junior Varsity Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) won first place at the Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) competition in March at IIT in Wheaton. Comments by coach Valerie Casey. Team included Ginny Fox, Danny Gardner, Creighton Helms, Bob Kumerer, Richard Poulton, Ian Torres, Jacob Valentine and Veronica White.
