NEW TRIER

The New Trier Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting with a call to order at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room C234 on the Northfield Campus and the business portion of the meeting scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The tentative agenda calls for honoring the three the outgoing Board members and seating the three new members, among other business. Members of the public are invited to attend.

The work of students in the visual arts from 12 local area high schools was on display April 8-16 at The Art Center (TAC) in Highland Park. More than 650 works of art in all media were on display, showcasing the range or work created in the individual school art programs.

Student artwork was exhibited in the gallery spaces at TAC. Curators selected by TAC executive director, Gabrielle Russo hung the exhibit, which was mounted (for two dimensional artwork) and arranged (for three dimensional work) in an integrative fashion by curators rather than segregated by school.

Due to the gallery venue of the exhibit, this show featured artwork selected to represent work created in the various courses at each school. By inclusion, a participating student's artwork was singled out for distinction by being chosen to represent the various and diverse programs within the 12 league schools.

Participating consortium high schools included Deerfield High School, Evanston Township High School, Glenbrook North High School, Glenbrook South High School, Highland Park High School, Maine East High School, Maine South High School, Maine West High School, New Trier High School, Niles North High School, Niles West High School, and Waukegan High School.

New Trier students whose work was selected for this year's show were Allegra Bartlett, Caroline Bick, Jordan Bretthauer, Nick Brown, Sarah Burton, Alex Caruso, Michael Cielsielski, Maddy Delannoy, Katie Ebersole, Emily Eisenstein, Kiki Eliopoulos, Marielle Epstein, Christina Foschi, Lauren Gerth, Olivia Gignilliat, Natalie Goldman, Sarah Goone, Fernanda Guzman-Cruz, Ashley Head, Peter Hong, Madeline Houde, Kelsey Ingram, Henry Jiang, Olivia Janusz, Riti Kanwar, Samuel Kehoe, Emmy Kennett, Kristina Kim, Maxx Klein, Trevor Kniaz, Laura Kochlefl, Reed Kolbe, Charles Koules, Adeline Krieger, John Lee, Rachel Lichtenberg, Audrey Mang, Robyn Mech, Justin Meyer, Samira Mian, Jennifer Miller, Charlotte Mitchell, Katie Newman, Annie Newman, Caitlin Nunemaker, Alison O'Connor, Ellie Pearlman, Maxwell Perkins, Stuart Pfaff, Tong Qi, Haley Roeser, Kai Robbins, Lily Schroeder, Glenna Siegel, Erin Smith, Jack Stamos, Jennifer Swan, Emma Tigerman, Sam Wade, Kristen Yang, Margot Young, and Erla Ziskasen.
