My uncle, Marshall Palm is mentioned in this issue of the Lake Shore News. Uncle Marshall was quite a golfer, bowler, a story teller and a sports fan. The Chi Cubs and the Chi Bears were his favorites. Uncle Marsh. was about 6'4 with a reach, finger tip to finger tip of 7' In his later years, he was a member of the North End Bowling league, with Buddy Bomar and other great bowlers of the mid century. Marsh was captain of the early 20th century "Evanston North Ends" Pro football team which did not lose a game for seven years. They were around at the turn of the century until around 1920 when the NFL was being formed. Thru the years, I remember some of Marshall Palms stories, and I wonder if there is still anyone around who would be interested. I have lived in CA for the past 56 years, and I am looking for more of his history. I am now in my 80's and would like to know about his younger years. I knew him in his later years, and he was quite a guy. Thanks---Chuck
