Major General Leonard Wood, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, visited Fort Sheridan Wed., and described it as the finest military post in the U.S. He said the physical and moral aspects are excellent. He said every part of the country is peaceful except the Mexican border where there are extra troops. Wood also said our number of aviators is commensurate with the French army.
