Chicago alderman, Charles M. Thomson, was elected to Congress to succeed George E. Foss. He was born in Chicago, and is thirty-five years old. His father, who died in 1900, was James Thomson who immigrated to this country from Scotland in 1851. His mother lives at 642 Belmont Ave., Chicago. In 1905 Charles M. Thomson married Miss Bessie Holbrook. They have one child and reside at 847 Montrose avenue, Chicago.
