A consolidated 9-1-1- dispatch center that would serve the Villages of Kenilworth, Northfield and Winnetka and also house one central jail facility was tentatively approved last year by the village boards. The center would be equipped with the staff and technical capabilities to handle emergency calls for a population of 22,400.
