Area tennis players participated at four Midwest Closed indoor championship tornaments last weekend. Konrad Zieba of Glenview captured the championship in the Boys 12 singles in Indianapolis, Ind. Other participants included Thomas Fawcett of Winnetka, Drew Campbell of Northfield, Aron Hiltzik of Wilmette, Dave Bacalla of Skokie, Ismail Kadyrov of Morton Grove and Michael Sellitto of Glenview. Robert Stineman of Winnetka won the Boys 14 tournament in Toledo. Nate Shanok of Wilmette, Jared Hiltzik of Wilmette and Michael Levin of Glenview were also part of the field. In the Boys 16 tournament in Northbrook, the singles draw included Ben Hoogland of Glenview, Michael Moore of Glenview, Andrew Miron of Glencoe, Andrew Krentz of Glencoe and JOseph Collins of Evanston. MIchael Laser of Glencoe advanced to the quarterfinals in the Boys 18 ournament. ALso participating were Peter Dunn of Winnetka, Jonathan Schroeder of Winnetka, Eric Spector of Northbrook, Austin Shoup of Northfield and Peter Dunn of Winnetka.
