Two more unlocked cars were stolen last week making a total of seven since Nov. 25. Only one car remains missing, a 1999 Mercedes-Benz stolen from the 200 block of Woodbine Avenue the night of Dec. 5. A 2006 Lexus stolen from the 600 block of Forest Avenue on Dec. 7 was recovered Friday by Skokie police, who arrested two Evanston boys inside, one 16, the other 15. The oldest of the pair has been arrested three times previously in the Wilmette crime spree. The two are now detained in the Audy Home, the juvenile temporary detention center in Chicago.
