Charles F. Scholl. Mr. Scholl, 93, a 50-year resident of Wilmette, died Dec. 6 in Carlsbad, Calif. Mr. Scholl was born June 28, 1913, in London, England. His father, along with his uncle, co- founded the Scholl Manufacturing Co., which later became known worldwide as Dr. Scholl's.

Mr. Scholl married Rosemary (nee Howard) on June 1, 1940, in Chicago. Survivors include his wife; six children, Mary Kay (John) Bowles of Glenview, Carol (John) Burnett of Solana Beach, Calif., Sally (Ric) Stran of Granger, Ind., Eileen Scholl (John Thurman) of San Rafael, Calif., Charles Jr. of Seattle, and Donna of Los Angeles; a brother, Allan R (Nari) Scholl of Chicago and Sausalito, Calif.; a sister, Barbara "Sister Edith, OCSO" of Wrentham, Mass.; 15 grandchildren, Cathy Brueggen Eastman, Chrissy Brueggen Bowers, Carl Brueggen, Michael Brueggen, Teri Burnett, Bob Burnett, Steve Bumett, Julie Burnett, Laura Stran, Lisa Stran White, Meghan Stran, Eric Stran, Peter Stran, Anna Lika Scholl Thurman, and Ryan Scholl Thurman; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death He by two brothers, Frank Jr. and William H.; and two nieces.
