Livia "Lili" Simon, 96, died Oct. 17 in her Evanston home. She was born July 15, 1910, in a small town outside of Budapest, Hungary. She married the painter Gyorgy Szin, who died during World War II. In 1956, during the Hungarian Revolution, she and her second husband, the actor Miklos Simon, escaped with their young son, Nicholas, and settled in Evanston. Mrs. Simon was preceded in death by her son and her second husband. She is survived by her brother, Laszlo Ringler, a violinist, in Israel, and by her grandchildren Adam, Adele, Zoltan, Dante and Johann Sebastian.
