Serniors enrolled in writing classes at New Trier get to learn about what the business is like, often from popular personalities such as Tim Kazurinsky, a Second City alumnus, and from best-selling novelist Scott Turow. Other presenters include Greg Allen, creator of the long-running show, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby go Blind," playwright Marisa Wegrzyn, and Harold Ramis who worked with students interested in screen-play writing.
