New Trier's Literary Festival, Nov. 3, brings in writers who specialize in various disciplines, including children's literature and sports, music, poetry and screen writing. Serniors enrolled in writing classes at New Trier get to learn about what the business is like, often from popular personalities such as Tim Kazurinsky, a Second City alumnus, and from best-selling novelist Scott Turow. Other presenters include Greg Allen, creator of the long-running show, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby go Blind," playwright Marisa Wegrzyn, and Harold Ramis who worked with students interested in screen-play writing.
