The Jim Brennan Turkey Ministry at Community Church of Wilmette organized by James Brennan as a Thanksgiving charity project, was continued after his death ten years ago by fellow parishioner, Chip Hart. On Jan. 31, however, a fast-moving infection took Hart's life within hours of the onset of symptoms. The children of the two men, Kathleen Brennan, 29, Michael Brennan, 25, children of Jim and Melanie Brennan; and Eliza Hart, daughter of Chip and Becky Hart, have stepped forward to take on the organization of the event. The young people would like to expand the charitable event into the community in memory of their fathers.
